PSC Crane & Rigging Earns Two SC&RA Rigging Job of the Year Awards
PSC Crane & Rigging is proud to announce that it has been recognized with two prestigious Rigging Job of the Year Awards from the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), one of the highest honors in the specialized transportation and lifting industry.

The company received awards in two competitive categories:
• $300,000 and Under – Sacmi PHL16000 Press Installation
• $1 Million–$3 Million – Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Lowering Project
These national awards recognize outstanding engineering, innovation, planning, safety, and execution on some of the most complex heavy lifting and rigging projects completed throughout North America.
Winning in two separate categories highlights PSC’s ability to successfully execute projects of varying size and complexity while maintaining the highest standards of safety and precision.
“Our team takes tremendous pride in solving complex lifting and rigging challenges for our customers,” said Jim Sever, President of PSC Crane & Rigging. “Receiving two SC&RA Rigging Job of the Year Awards is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and professionalism of every employee involved. These projects required detailed engineering, careful planning, and flawless execution, and this recognition reflects the exceptional work our entire team delivers every day.”
Award-Winning Projects
Sacmi PHL16000 Press Installation:
PSC successfully installed a 101,000-pound Sacmi PHL16000 hydraulic press at a manufacturing facility in Xenia, Ohio. The project required extensive pre-planning, precision rigging techniques, and close coordination with the customer to safely position the large press while minimizing downtime.
Tunnel Boring Machine Lowering Project:
PSC also earned top honors for its role in lowering a 1.6-million-pound tunnel boring machine (TBM) nearly 185 feet into a launch shaft as part of a major infrastructure project in Northeast Ohio. The highly engineered lift utilized PSC’s 900-ton strand jack system, hydraulic gantries, and specialized rigging equipment. The operation required more than 2,500 labor hours and represented one of the most technically demanding projects completed by the company.
These award-winning projects demonstrate PSC’s capabilities in engineered lifting, heavy rigging, machinery moving, and specialized transportation for customers across manufacturing, infrastructure, power generation, industrial construction, and other critical industries.
Founded in 1933, PSC Crane & Rigging has built a reputation for delivering safe, innovative, and dependable heavy lifting solutions throughout Ohio and beyond. The company continues to invest in engineering expertise, specialized equipment, and highly trained personnel to solve its customers’ most challenging projects.
“We are honored to receive this recognition from our peers in the industry,” Sever added. “Most importantly, these awards recognize the commitment our team makes every day to safety, innovation, and delivering successful outcomes for our customers.”
